Feedback = Reputation

The Feedback can answer many questions about how an eBay member does business.
The rating number in parentheses can be found beside the member user ID.

For example: abcmember(95) , meaning there are 95 feedbacks and comments received from other eBay members.

How it works:
+1 point for each positive comment

0 points for each neutral comment

-1 point for each negative comment

A member gets a star icon if received 10 or more positive comments. The colour of the star tells you how many comments the member has received. Having a positive ratings will give eBay member a good reputation.

Here's what the different stars mean:
Yellow star () = 10 to 49 points
Blue star () = 50 to 99 points
Turquoise star () = 100 to 499 points
Purple star () = 500 to 999 points
Red star () = 1,000 to 4,999 points
Green star () = 5,000 to 9,999 points
Yellow shooting star () = 10,000 to 24,999 points
Turquoise shooting star () = 25,000 to 49,999 points
Purple shooting star () = 50,000 to 99,999 points
Red shooting star () = 100,000 or points or more

To Have a Good Reputation

• Ask the seller a question about an item. Clear up any queries you have before you bid.
• Decide a maximum price you are willing to pay and stick to it.
• Don't bid on an item unless you intend to pay.
• If you won a bid, keep in touch with your seller through email
• Let him/her know how you will be paying and to confirm your address
• Resolved any issues that arose after the sales
• If you are meeting with the buyer/seller, be on time.
• Dont forget to leave feedback, so buyer/seller will do the same and your rating will increase.
• Always be courteous in answering inquiries, they may be your future buyers
• Be honest with the item you are selling.

eBay Tips: The eBay Icons

About Me: An About Me icon placed after a User ID indicates that the user has an "About Me" page that contains more information about his or her eBay operation. The About Me icon also serves as a link to the user's "About Me" page.

Buy It Now: The Buy It Now icon means the item has a set price for which it can be purchased immediately without going through the bidding process.

Camera: A camera means that a picture of the item is included with the listing.

PayPal: This icon shows that the seller accepts PayPal, an eBay service that enables users to receive and send online payments through credit cards and bank accounts.

PayPal's Buyer Protection Program: This icon means that the item is eligible for PayPal's Buyer Protection Program.

Person with a sunburst behind the head: This icon following a User ID indicates a new eBay user, and also alerts the seller that the new user might need a little extra patience and assistance.

Picture Frame: A small picture frame means that the item is featured in eBay's gallery. It also means that you can see the item's photo in search results and browse listings.

PowerSeller: A blue silhouette in a gold star next to the word PowerSeller indicates that the user has achieved a certain level of sales volume and performance status within eBay.

Rising Sun: A Rising Sun icon indicates that the item has been listed within the past 24 hours. New item icons are removed after the listing is 24 hours old.

Two people with an arrow between them: This is the Changed ID icon, which indicates a member who has changed his or her User ID within the last 30 days.

Wrapped Present: The Wrapped Present icon means the seller wants to highlight the item as a potential gift, as well as offer associated Gift Services.
